April 17, 2016
For delegates and alternates elected at the precinct-level presidential caucuses on March 26, this is the next caucus meeting in the 2016 delegate selection process.
Only delegates and alternates selected at the precinct-level caucuses in the 3rd Legislative District may participate in the meeting. Other individuals may attend and observe, but cannot participate. Here's the language from the Call (notice of meeting) that will be sent to delegates and alternates by April 12.
The location for the 3rd Legislative District district-level caucus is the Commons at Rogers High School, 1622 E Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA 99207. Please note that this is an updated venue as of March 17, 2016.
Please follow the directional signage on the day of the caucus.
The district-level caucus will start at 1:00 pm. Doors will open for registration of delegates at 12:15 pm. Registration of alternates will occur after the meeting has started and will be on an "availability" basis (e.g., delegates have not shown up and alternates need to fill the vacancies).
Delegates and alternates from legislative districts in Spokane County other than the 3rd LD (4th or 6th LDs) may contact Spokane County Democrats (509-324-8525) to learn about where their legislative district caucus will be held on April 17. Delegates and alternates from Spokane County precincts for the 7th and 9th LDs meet at the Spokane County Convention on May 1 and do not have a caucus meeting to attend on April 17.
Delegates and alternates elected at the LD-level caucus on April 17 are expected to attend the 5th Congressional District Caucus on Saturday, May 21 (time TBD, location is in Spokane). Delegates and alternates elected at the LD-level caucus also represent the LD at the Washington State Convention in Tacoma (June 18 - 19, 2016).
