Members of the Executive Committee of the Third Legislative District Democrats have been appointed by the Chair to serve as the Bylaws Committee for the purpose of an expedited review of the Bylaws in light of the Covid-19 situation.
Appointed to the Bylaws Committee are:
The Bylaws Committee will review recommended changes by the Chair to the Bylaws with respect to the ability of the Precinct Committee Officers and Executive Board to meet and transact business of the organization using technology and/or telephone instead of in-person meetings.
The Bylaws Committee will also accelerate the consideration of other changes to the Bylaws to conform to required practices by the state party organization with respect to the election of officers at future reorganizational meetings and other changes that would have been normally reviewed in the summer months as a matter of routine business.
Once the Bylaws Committee agrees upon changes to the Bylaws to propose for consideration by the Precinct Committee Officers, a Call will be issued for a special meeting of the Precinct Committee Officers for review and adoption of updated Bylaws.
