The Washington State Democratic Party has advised to expect changes to how the delegate selection process at the legislative district level (scheduled for April 26 and May 3, 2020) will be conducted.
The State Party's executive committee is scheduled to meet on the evening of Monday, March 16 to discuss options with respect to the state convention and congressional district caucus delegate selection process which was scheduled to occur at in-person legislative district caucuses on Sunday, April 26 and Sunday, May 3. Additional meetings of the State Party's executive committee may also be held in the coming weeks.
The in-person legislative district caucuses scheduled for April 26 and May 3 to select the people to fill the delegate slots allocated by the March 10 presidential primary will not be held.
Further instructions will come from the Washington State Democratic Party based on the executive committee's decisions in the near term.
Because all legislative districts and congressional districts in the state must use uniform delegate selection procedures, no local planning for options is currently contemplated until the State Party has issued its guidance.
Please visit the 3rd LD's website and the State Party's informational website for the delegation selection process for updated delegate selection procedures once they are determined.
