5th CD National Convention Delegates Elected

Four delegates to the Democratic National Convention have been elected to represent the 5th Congressional District. They are:

• Joanne Fleming (pledged to Bernie Sanders.) Joanne is an elected Precinct Committee Officer (representing Precinct 3109) and is one of two representatives to the Washington State Democratic Central Committee representing the 3rd Legislative District. Joanne serves on the State Party Rules Committee.
• Steve Kirby (pledged to Bernie Sanders.) Steve is an elected Precinct Committee Officer (representing Precinct 3223.)
• Breean Beggs (pledged to Joe Biden.) Breean is in his first term as president of Spokane City Council and resides in the 3rd Legislative District.
• Yvette Joseph (pledged to Joe Biden.) Yvette is an elected Precinct Committee Officer (representing Precinct 6217) and is one of two representatives to the Washington State Democratic Central Committee representing the 6th Legislative District. Yvette is co-chair of the State Party Affirmative Action Committee.

An additional 31 statewide delegates to the 2020 Democratic National Convention will be chosen by members of the Washington State Democratic Central Committee representing the legislative districts this Sunday, following the state convention (19 At Large delegates and 12 Party Leader/Elected Officials delegates.)
